Hi, my name is Alex.

I’m an audio producer based in New York. I spend most of my time working on The New Yorker Radio Hour. But I find time to take on other projects here and there. Really, I’m just a sucker for a good story.

Before my career in audio, I worked for a decade in script development, first at Manhattan Theatre Club (which produces plays on- and off-Broadway), then with a bunch of other companies, including (but not limited to) the Sundance Institute, Scott Rudin Productions, MCC Theater and SPACE on Ryder Farm. For one very odd summer, I was the head juror of a screenplay competition sponsored by the Chinese government. Before all that, I lived in Austin, where I played bass in a country band.

I’ve worn a lot of hats. Favorite hat: the dad hat.
